ETHSofia: Conference and Hackathon with a $15,000 Prize Pool to be Held in Bulgaria in October

On October 17, 2024, Sofia, Bulgaria, will host ETHSofia, a conference and hackathon with a $15,000 prize pool, according to the event organizers. This marks the first cryptocurrency event of this scale in the country, attracting global speakers and partners.

The event will take place at Sofia Tech Park from October 17 to 19. The hackathon will run for three days, while the conference will span two days.

Global Partners Supporting the Event

Organizers have announced new partners for the event, with major crypto companies joining as platinum sponsors, including Binance, the layer-one network MANTRA, and the THORChain project. Among the prominent attendees will be David Prinçay, head of Binance’s French division, John Patrick Mullin, co-founder of MANTRA, and THORChain founder J.P. Thor.

This will be the first Ethereum community event in Bulgaria to receive backing from Binance. Other partners include Euler Finance and SSV Network. Additionally, representatives from recruitment agency Remote IT World, crypto ATM provider Bitomat, and teams from projects such as Sui, Chainbase, and DLT Seeblocks will be present.

Key Speakers at the Conference

Notable leaders from the crypto sphere have been invited, including Lyn Alden, founder of Lyn Alden Investment Strategy, Michael Bentley, co-founder of Euler Labs, Luka Song, core contributor at Chainbase, and many other industry influencers from Nexo, Zerion, ICP HUB Bulgaria, and Pendle. The event will be hosted by Leila Muratkaws Blagojevic from BeInCrypto, Ivan Manchev from Ambire, and Stella Frias from Input.
