The Noble blockchain project team has announced the integration of the EURe stablecoin from fintech company Monerium, granting access to this asset for Cosmos ecosystem users. This partnership allows EURe to be integrated through the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol, making the stablecoin available across more than 90 networks within the Cosmos ecosystem.
A key feature of this collaboration is the ability to provide each user with a unique IBAN number linked to their Noble address. This ensures instant transfers between bank accounts and the IBC ecosystem, developers emphasized.
“This approach essentially transforms a wallet into a bank account, and vice versa, unlocking new possibilities for payments, currency exchanges, swaps, and other financial operations,” Noble stated.
EURe becomes the first fully regulated euro-pegged stablecoin available within the Cosmos ecosystem. Monerium first launched this stablecoin in July 2022, and its integration with the SEPA system ensures direct transfers between bank accounts and crypto addresses at a 1:1 ratio with the euro.
EURe is already integrated into ecosystems such as Ethereum, Gnosis, and Polygon, making it the most popular euro-pegged stablecoin. According to Dune Analytics, EURe holds a 47.8% market share among euro-pegged stablecoins, affirming its leading position.
